Underbelly Boulevard will be a new live entertainment venue for music, cabaret, variety and comedy, comprising of a 200 capacity cabaret and music venue, a rehearsal room for hire, daytime hire for events, readings and workshops, a bar and a restaurant.



  • Ensure all visitors experience a brilliant and warm welcome through immaculate presentation of public areas and outstanding customer service.
  • Provide a safe and secure site for visitors and staff.
  • Answer any queries or questions and to professionally resolve customer issues.
  • Maintain a positive, enthusiastic and collaborative way of working across the venue alongside staff and management.


Front of House

  • Adopt an approachable and welcoming attitude, with a well-informed knowledge of the Underbelly Boulevard including upcoming shows and events, bar menus and policies and procedures with an ability to deal with queries clearly and confidently without the need for escalation where possible.
  • Scan tickets, provide directional information, and ensure the safety of all audience members during a performance, watching for potential hazards or issues within the auditorium and around all Front of House spaces.
  • Reconfigure the auditorium seating between shows as required.
  • Assist customers with additional access requirements and adapt as necessary for their required level of assistance.
  • Identify possible improvements that will improve the experience of our guests.
  • Assist with events and other activities that require additional support.


  • Assist in preparing, serving and cleaning food and drink, maintaining consistency and quality, even when under pressure.
  • Maintain an organised and clean bar, stock room and back of house areas.
  • Set up and maintain correct stock levels across all bars.
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of products and understand key perfect serves.
  • Maintain an organised and clean bar, stock room and back of house areas.
  • Prepare and store garnish used for drinks.
  • Maintain good H&S / HACCP practices as guided by management, including working environments, licensing and food handling.

Box Office

  • Provide a warm welcome to all guests at our box office/reception, providing excellent customer service in person, by email and over the phone.
  • Maintain our customer records and updating details where necessary.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the operations of the Underbelly ticketing system, Red61’s VIA. Familiarise yourself with each event (ticket prices, discounts, restrictions, reserved or general admission seating, etc.)
  • Provide ticket collection for sales via third party agencies.
  • Respond quickly and positively to questions, requests, problems, or complaints.
  • Maintain general appearance and tidiness of the Box Office and its surroundings including advertising boards.
  • Assist guests with access requirements through our access ticketing scheme.
  • Sell memberships where required.
  • Escalate incidents and feedback to the Box Office Manager.

Health & Safety

  • Understand and be able to implement the Underbelly Boulevard’s health and safety policies, including emergency and evacuation procedures, and be confident in the execution of these procedures.
  • Report any Accidents, Incidents and/or Near Misses to the relevant member of staff.
  • Assist in the conducting of health and safety checks when required, reporting any possible hazards that are discovered which could affect visitors or staff members on site.
  • Have an awareness of the Underbelly Boulevard’s Safeguarding Policy.



  • Confident, enthusiastic, professional and self-motivated.
  • Good, clear verbal communication skills with a confident ability to engage with both individuals and groups.
  • The ability to work flexible shifts, weekends and evenings on a consistent reliable basis.
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to recognise potential health and safety issues before they arise.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of customer service principles.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent timekeeping skills.
  • Positive and flexible approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
  • 18 years old or over.
