Underbelly is a UK based live entertainment company. Its festivals and events division produces a number of events annually, including Underbelly at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Underbelly Festival in London.
Underbelly also produce Christmas in Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square in collaboration with Westminster City Council. In the West End, Underbelly is currently producing the Olivier award-winning version of Cabaret at The Kit Kat Klub.
Underbelly have also recently launched their first permanent venue, Underbelly Boulevard, in the heart of Soho.
We are seeking an experienced HR advisor to provide comprehensive HR management and advice to the organisation.
ROLE
- Acting as a tactically and operationally focussed resource to support the delivery of all HR processes.
- Developing and maintaining employment related policies and procedures.
- Delivering HR guidance to company directors and line managers to ensure performance is managed consistently across the organisation.
- Handling HR queries from management and employees.
- Managing HR processes within the employee lifecycle to ensure they are progressed efficiently.
- Supporting recruitment processes on both permanent and temporary staff.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Demonstratable experience of working in an HR advisory role in a similar organisation.
- Proven experience of working in an organisation that recruits temporary staff.
- Experience of providing first-line support and advice to managers and employees around HR processes.
- Demonstratable experience of facilitating improvements to processes.
- Ability to challenge stakeholders appropriately.
- Tact, discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and skilled at adapting communication style depending on the audience.
- Strong IT skills across the Microsoft Office suite.
- A degree in HR or CIPD qualification (Level 5 minimum).
TERMS
- This is a permanent role on a part-time basis (2 days per week). There is flexibility on which days of the week these are.
- 21 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays (pro rata).
- Primary place of work is Underbelly’s head office in Central London but will require work onsite as required.
